Matthew has served Southview since June 2014. He and his wife, Kali, have served together in ministry since summer 2008 where they met as staff at Camp Marietta. With them they bring both a toddler, Faith, and preschooler, Noah. They come to us from South Carolina, where Matthew is a graduate of North Greenville University. He loves the outdoors and sports, but he also loves nerdy things like superheroes and video games. A testament to his nerd factor is that he named his son, "Noah Kent," after a certain super hero. Possessing both passion for music and a burden for student ministry, Matthew is thankful to be able to serve at Southview.
“The best part of this job is the people. They are friends and family to me,” says Mary who has served Southview since 1993. She came to faith in Christ at 12, was baptized in her twenties, and can not imagine being without Jesus through the ups and downs of life. Mary and John have been married for 40 years, raised three children and now are blessed with three grandchildren. They enjoy fishing, and, occasionally, she’ll even out-fish John.
Serving our church family since 2007, Sam enjoys the people and how different each day can be. She has been a Christ follower 17 years and observes that her relationship with Jesus has changed everything. “I continue to be amazed by how God works,” Sam says. She is married with three children, has her first grandchild on the way, enjoys reading and family time.
Dawn has served as our Treasurer since 2001 and Financial Secretary since 2007. She is wife to Brian, busy mom to Gracie, Christian, Matthew, and Faith. Dawn enjoys reading, cooking, baking, and family.
