Southview Baptist Church

• God deserves our very best.

• Over the past 30 years, the great things we’ve done together have worn on our building.

• Our updates will aim to facilitate fellowship for the next 30 years 1 Corinthians 9:26.

• The initial estimate was for at least $750K for the combined Sanctuary, Coffee Library, and Mother’s Room.

• Our estimate will be refined as we progress.

• Contractors still need to provide the final bid.

The final bid can still change based on:

• Inflation costs may go up during the process

• Unanticipated costs arising during demolition and construction

• The Capital Campaign will run 3 years.

• The construction on the building will take 4-6 months.

Our aim is to begin as soon as possible. Here are the steps:

• Sign Architectural Contract

• Blueprints will be drawn by our Architecture Firm

• Construction Companies will place bids

• Supplies will be ordered

• Construction begins

• Construction ends

• Our Church Survey results revealed a need for the future of Southview.

• This will make our church building appear more welcoming to new families.

• The space will make forming relationships a priority.

• Coffee will be brewed by Southview volunteers and provided free of charge.

• Coffee will be set up for self-serve at the Coffee Library.

• All Worship Services will be held in the Fellowship Hall.

• If needed, we will consider adding a second service.

• All special events will also be held in the Fellowship Hall. i.e. Weddings, Baptisms, Funerals, etc.

• Some classes may consider meeting in member homes.

• A few classes will still have the option to meet in the building.

• We may consider a large group class in the Fellowship Hall following Worship.

• Home Group differs from Sunday School, but should be considered as an excellent additional or alternative option.

• Through the faithful giving above and beyond your regular tithe to the Together We Grow Campaign.

• Our hope is that we will only need a Construction Loan during the building process.

• We currently have $158K (21% of the estimated bid) to apply to the project.

• If needed, financing is a possibility.
